How to Follow Up With Remodeling Leads (Templates)

What to say, and when to say it, so quotes stop going quiet.

Most remodeling quotes that don't close aren't lost on price or fit - they're lost to silence. The homeowner meant to reply, got busy, and the contractor never followed up because it felt pushy. A polite, scheduled follow-up sequence closes far more of these than most remodelers expect.

A simple sequence: same-day acknowledgment ("Thanks for the chance to quote your project, I'll have pricing to you by [date]"), a check-in two to three days after the quote is sent ("Just checking you received the quote - happy to answer any questions"), and a final soft check-in a week or two later ("No pressure at all - if timing's changed or you've gone another direction, just let me know and I'll close this out").

The tone matters as much as the timing - every message should sound helpful, not desperate. Automating the scheduling of these messages (not necessarily the writing) means quotes get chased consistently even during your busiest weeks, when manual follow-up is the first thing that slips.
